Hi there – thank you for your lovely comment and for your support
Very best wishes – Zoe x
Hi Zoe, although I am doing well on my nutrition habit (which for all practice and intent is nearly identical to yours), I just looked around your website and I absolutely endorse the dietary information you provide.
Thanks for videos. I’ll forward these to people I know.
Best.
Many thanks for this! I’m going to a conference in Sept about “Fructose – the lipogenic (i.e. fattening) carbohydrate”! I’ll share any learnings, but fructose may have a couple more things to answer for!
Eat loads of veg (potatoes are staple carbs, don’t think of them as veg) and salad, but do watch fruit!
Brilliant video my friends couldn’t understand why i was avoiding fruit when it is always connected with being healthy. I can now show them this video! Really enjoying the diet- I find nutrition so interesting after years of being fed ready meals.
Grapes are terrible – like sugar balls!
Hi there – The Harcombe Diet is just easier for carnivores (much as I hate to say that as a veggie!).
The ideal diet for overcoming the 3 conditions that cause overeating and overweight (detailed in the books) is a diet of meat/fish/eggs/veg (not potatoes)/salad/natural live yoghurt and some brown rice.
Veggies immediately have 2 large food groups on this list (meat/fish) off limits. That’s the key reason it’s easier for non veggies!
Hope this helps
Best wishes – Zoe
Hey Zoe, I’m veggie too…you say the Harcombe diet isn’t ideal for veggies…Do you follow it yourself?Any tips?
Hi there – many thanks for your other nice note. Bananas, grapes, oranges and Alpen bars are all things that low calorie diets tend to advocate. I would never recommend the Alpen bar (added sugar). You can have fruit in Phase 2 of The Harcombe Diet, but not that much – especially if you think Candida/Hypoglycaemia could be problems for you (see other VT’s). I believe that carbs and insulin are more important than calories in weight loss and fruit is a carb.
Hope this helps – Zoe x
im on a diet and in school break time i would have a banana with a few grapes then at lunch time i would have an orange with an alpen bar is that ok or should i decrease the intake?
Hi there – lovely to hear from you and to hear that you’re still doing well.
Just one thought (as a veggie myself) being veggie is actually not ideal for The Harcombe Diet! Meat and fish are real foods, so you are better off eating them (for weight loss) unless you can’t bear to do so because of the animal considerations.
Bye for now – Zoe
Hello Zoe,
Thank you again ..for another great video!!
To keep me inspired…I am still doing well, feeling fantastic!!!! leaning more towards vegetarian now….Thank you ….
